What You'll Do
- Design and implement secure, scalable, highly available and resilient Azure and hybrid-cloud architectures.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance to application and DevOps teams throughout solution design and implementation.
- Translate security, resilience, governance and business requirements into practical cloud solutions.
- Define and maintain Azure reference architectures, reusable patterns, standards and engineering practices.
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code and automation using Terraform, Azure DevOps and Azure-native tooling.
- Evolve Azure platform capabilities and promote consistent cloud engineering practices across teams.
- Design solutions for business continuity, disaster recovery, fault tolerance and operational resilience.
- Define recovery strategies, including RTO/RPO, multi-region architectures and resilience testing.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across Azure services and platform components.
- Contribute to architecture reviews, technical governance and security assessments.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on Azure engineering and architecture.
- Maintain architecture documentation, technical standards, guidance and knowledge materials.
What you bring
- 8+ years of professional IT experience, including substantial hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong experience combining Azure cloud engineering and cloud architecture in complex enterprise environments.
- Excellent hands-on Terraform / Infrastructure as Code expertise.
- Solid experience with Azure DevOps and cloud automation.
- Proven ability to design secure, highly available and resilient Azure solutions.
- Strong understanding of Azure security, cloud governance and enterprise architecture principles.
- Practical experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, fault tolerance and operational resilience.
- Good understanding of RTO/RPO, recovery strategies and multi-region Azure architectures.
- Experience collaborating across application, DevOps, infrastructure, networking, security and architecture teams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities in complex Azure environments.
- Experience contributing to architecture governance, design reviews and technical standards.
- Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical decisions without relying solely on formal authority.
