Krones FBL, based in Louvain-la-Neuve, is looking for a (m/f/x)
GL ACCOUNTANT who will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant financial processes.
Your Position
• As a GL Accountant, you ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of general ledger
accounting in line with BE and FR GAAP, IFRS, and internal group rules;
• Act as a guardian of finance rules and processes by ensuring that incoming data and
documentation meet defined quality and compliance standards
• You collect the necessary information from various departments to perform and monitor
monthly closings for two Krones subsidiaries (France and Belgium) and provide support for two
other subsidiaries within the existing organization;
• You review accounting entries made by CO, AP, AR, and perform activities such as
reconciliations (Payroll, Turnover, VAT, ...) , adjustments, reporting, and reclassifications when
necessary for our Belgian and French legal entities;
• You prepare the Intercompany re-invoicing, the IC reconciliations, and IC reporting for the
group;
• You take care of the statutory documentation of the subsidiaries. (General Assembly,
nomination of Administrators, Auditors, and all legal requirements)
• You carry out balance sheet analyses, including explanations and documentation;
• You prepare and support group reporting (related to monthly closing, year-end closing, Tax
(GTC, Pillar II), Liquidity planning, ...).
• VAT declarations and reconciliations, as well as preparing elements for tax returns, are also
part of your responsibilities, along with preparation and follow-up of any potential VAT or tax
audits;
• You actively participate in all activities related to internal (Compliance) and external audits;
• You actively contribute to the improvement, standardisation, and automation of accounting
processes and systems.
• You will work from our head office in Louvain-La-Neuve, with the possibility of remote work after
a training period;
• Occasional travel to France (other subsidiaries) or Germany (Headquarters) may be required

Your Profile
• Strong expertise in end-to-end General Ledger accounting (postings, accruals, reconciliations,
closing)
• Solid knowledge of Belgian and French GAAP and good understanding of IFRS
• Proven experience with month-end closing, VAT, and audit support
• Able to independently manage GL activities and take ownership of assigned entities or
accounting scopes
• Experience in a multi-entity and/or international environment is a strong plus
• Advanced Excel skills; SAP experience is an asset
• Strong compliance mindset with the ability to challenge non-compliant inputs and ensure
data integrity
• Clear, fact-based communicator towards finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Highly accurate, structured, and able to meet tight deadlines in closing cycles
• Resilient and assertive, able to maintain professional standards under pressure
• Team player with a strong sense of ownership and focus on continuous improvement
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in General Ledger accounting, ideally partially in fiduciary.
• Fluent in French, English, and Dutch; German is an asset
