Key Responsibilities

Design end-to-end IT solutions aligned with business needs, architectural principles and AG Insurance standards.
Analyse complex business and technical requirements, propose different solution options and design pragmatic, sustainable and future-oriented solutions.
Act as the bridge between Business and IT, translating complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Create alignment and consensus between business and IT stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with business teams, IS teams, Architecture & Strategy, Application Technology and Infrastructure & Operations teams.
Define solutions from the initial project phase through implementation and production, ensuring architectural consistency.
Ensure architectural governance, documentation and compliance with established IT standards.
Present and defend proposed solutions to the Architecture Board and challenge solutions together with the technical architecture team.
Define short-, medium- and long-term visions for the evolution of IT systems.
Consider implementation costs, maintainability and operational/run requirements when designing solutions.
Contribute to the modernization of a hybrid application landscape, including legacy COBOL/Microfocus environments and modern .NET, Angular and Domain-Driven Design architectures.
Promote innovation, challenge existing approaches and propose new technological solutions.

Experience Required

Proven professional experience as a Solution Architect and/or Functional Designer, at least at mid-level (2–5 years).
Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) concepts.
Experience with asynchronous integration concepts and architectures.
Ability to analyse large amounts of information and translate complex requirements into clear architectural solutions.
Experience designing solutions across complex and hybrid IT environments.
Strong ability to connect business requirements with IT architecture and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
Strong interest in technological innovation and willingness to challenge existing solutions and propose new ideas.
Solution-oriented, creative and flexible mindset.
Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
Professional fluency in English.
Dutch and/or French: one fluent and the other passive/basic is acceptable.
Knowledge of Life Insurance is a plus.
Experience with ArchiMate, .NET, Angular or COBOL is a plus.
