As a Group role within Cementir Holding, the position will have a Group-wide scope and will directly report to the Group Electrical and Automation Manager, who is based at our subsidiary Aalborg Portland A/S in Denmark.


The successful candidate will be based at CCB and will be employed under a local Belgian employment contract. Compagnie des Ciments Belges (CCB) is Cementir Holding’s Belgian subsidiary, located in Gaurain-Ramecroix, Tournai. CCB is a leading producer of cement, ready-mixed concrete, and aggregates, operating one of the largest and most efficient cement plants in the Walloon Region.


While physically based in Belgium, the role will operate at Group level, supporting and collaborating with Cementir Holding’s businesses and sites across the Group. Reporting to the Group Electrical and Automation Manager, the Group Electrical & Automation Engineer will support electrical and automation projects and critical maintenance activities across Group plants. The role will contribute to both greenfield and brownfield projects, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of industrial operations, and support the implementation of Group projects and initiatives across all Regions and Business Units. In doing so, the role will work closely with Local Electrical and Automation teams to ensure effective and consistent implementation.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Provide support to Cementir Group plants across multiple countries;
  • Ensure the standardization of electrical and automation systems across different plants;
  • Create benchmarks for Group plants for electrical and automation perspective;
  • Enhance the competency of plant teams in electrical and automation systems;
  • Optimize automation systems in line with industrial best practices;
  • Collaborate with the Process team to meet automation requirements;
  • Manage electrical, automation, and digitalization projects across Group plants;
  • Oversee energy management & efficiency activities on-site;
  • Support CAPEX Project Manager in defining all electrical automation specifications and in monitoring the execution phase.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical-Automation Engineering;
  • 3-5 years of experience in cement plants or heavy industrial plants, focusing on industrial automation, electrical maintenance, and project management;
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage power systems, electric motors, drives, and field instruments;
  • Hands-on experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Schneider, ABB automation) and process control;
  • Expertise in high-voltage systems, electrical motors, frequency converters, PLC programming, SCADA and project management to maintain seamless plant operations as a strong plus;
  • Familiarity with industrial weighing, dosing, and material handling systems;
  • Ability to support in diagnosing failures, conducting root cause analysis, and improve operational processes;
  • Project management skills with practical field experience;
  • Ability to work effectively with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to enhance efficiency;
  • Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces when necessary:
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent English is required; French is an advantage.
  • Travel frequently (up to 50% international travel) to various Group plants for follow-ups.
