We are looking for an Scrum Master (5 years of experience) for a one-year Agile project in Brussels. The position offers a hybrid work model, with 50% on-site work and 50% remote work. The start date is as soon as possible.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Schedule and monitor the key stages of the methodology.
- Ensure the proper application of the Scrum methodology and help the project team overcome obstacles.
- Support the Product Owner with Product Backlog management.
- Support the team in delivering the Definition of Done and Sprint Backlog.
- Track team capacity and velocity for planning and progress monitoring.
- Coach and challenge the project team.
- Promote the team’s gradual self-organisation.
- Remove barriers to team effectiveness and protect the team from external distractions.
- Promote Agile methods across the organisation.
- Report on the proper implementation of the Scrum methodology within projects.
- Manage risks and issues.
- Coach business lines and stakeholders on effective collaboration with the team.
Must-Have Requirements
- Expert knowledge of Agile methodologies and techniques, including Scrum and Kanban, is required.
- Knowledge of Agile reporting and tracking tools, such as Jira, is required.
- An understanding of automated unit testing, automated functional testing, and continuous integration tooling is required.
- Sound knowledge of software development methodologies is required.
- Sound knowledge of project management methodologies is required.
- French and/or Dutch proficiency
- English proficiency
