Credit Control Officer

Nexeo is currently looking for a Credit Operations & Control Officer to join the team of one of our banking clients in Brussels.

You will be responsible for providing day-to-day operational support and control activities related to Professional and Individual Credits, ensuring operational continuity, risk control and high-quality service to internal and external clients.

Credit Operations & Daily Support

• Ensure day-to-day operational support and control activities related to Professional and Individual Credits.
• Monitor credit-related processes and ensure activities are performed accurately and in accordance with defined procedures.
• Support both front-end and back-end processes related to daily banking and credit activities.
• Ensure operational continuity and contribute to maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Controls & Operational Risk

• Execute and monitor operational controls within the departments in scope.
• Identify operational risks, anomalies and control weaknesses.
• Document and report control results to relevant business stakeholders.
• Discuss negative control results with business partners and agree on appropriate action plans and remediation measures.
• Follow up on identified actions and ensure proper resolution.

Issue Management & Reporting

• Manage and follow up on operational issues and incidents.
• Analyze problems, identify root causes and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Prepare regular and ad hoc operational reporting.
• Provide clear feedback on control results, risks, issues and action plans.

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Act as a point of contact for internal and external clients.
• Collaborate closely with business partners, operational teams and other stakeholders.
• Communicate findings and recommendations in a clear and diplomatic manner.
• Contribute to maintaining strong service quality and customer satisfaction.

Project Support

• Provide ad hoc support to projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the implementation of new processes, controls and operational procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and operational risk management.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience in banking, credit operations, financial services or a related environment.
• Good knowledge of Professional Loans / Professional Credits.
• Experience in control execution and operational risk monitoring.
• Strong interest in finance, banking products and credit processes.
• Understanding of both front-end and back-end banking processes.
• Experience in daily banking activities within a banking environment is a strong plus.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Banking or a related field.
