About the PositionThis is a key role responsible for leading the day-to-day coordination and continual improvement of Cathie's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental activities across our international business. Reporting to the Group QHSE Manager, you'll work with colleagues across the UK, France, Belgium and Italy to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement and promote a positive safety culture.
While the role includes responsibility for management systems, audits and compliance activities, it is also a hands-on operational position. You'll be actively involved in supporting office-based health and safety, hybrid and remote working arrangements, mandatory training programmes, risk assessments, incident management and employee wellbeing initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of a broad QHSE remit within an established international engineering consultancy. English is the primary business language at Cathie; therefore, professionalproficiency in written and spoken English is essential.

Enjoys balancing operational improvement with practical day-to-day deliveryLikes working with people and influencing positive behavioursTakes a pragmatic approach to health, safety and complianceIs confident building relationships with employees, managers and leadership teamsEnjoys working across multiple countries, cultures and business functionsWants to play a visible role in strengthening safety culture across an international organisationYou WillCoordinate and support Cathie's Integrated Management System across the GroupLead internal audit programmes and support external certification auditsMaintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standardsProvide practical day-to-day health and safety support across office, hybrid and remote working environmentsCoordinate workplace risk assessments, DSE assessments and office inspectionsOversee mandatory training requirements and support training compliance across all entitiesSupport incident reporting, investigations and corrective action managementMonitor QHSE performance and prepare management reporting and KPI analysisMaintain QHSE policies, procedures and guidance documentationSupport emergency preparedness activities and business continuity initiativesWork closely with operational, engineering, HR and business support teams to promote best practiceDrive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen compliance, safety culture and business performanceAct as a key point of contact for auditors, certification bodies, training providers and regulatory stakeholdersWhat We're Looking ForExperience in a QHSE, Health & Safety, Compliance or Management Systems roleGood knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001Experience supporting or leading internal and external auditsStrong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirementsExperience undertaking or coordinating risk assessments and investigationsExcellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities across a fast-paced international businessNEBOSH General Certificate or equivalentNice to have: NEBOSH Diploma, ISO Lead Auditor qualification, experience within engineering, consultancy or professional services, knowledge of EcoVadis, and experience operating across multiple countries.
