pOur client, a major organization in the public safety sector, is looking for an experienced professional to lead the development of specialized software applications. The role involves guiding a technical team through complex architectural challenges while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead the technical direction and coordination of a specialized development team. /li liDesign complex systems with a focus on scalability, security, and performance. /li liBuild and maintain robust backend services using Python and Django. /li liDevelop modern frontend interfaces using React. /li liEstablish coding standards and perform code reviews to ensure technical excellence. /li liTranslate business requirements into technical implementations in an Agile environment. /li liManage deployments and automation using Docker and CI/CD pipelines. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul li8+ years of experience in software architecture and system design. /li li8+ years of experience in backend development using Python and Django. /li li8+ years of experience in frontend development with React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. /li li8+ years of experience with Docker, Docker Compose, and CI/CD processes. /li li8+ years of experience in data-driven application development with SQL and pandas. /li liPossess extensive knowledge of API development including REST, SOAP, and GraphQL. /li liYou have expertise in version control using Git, GitHub, and GitLab. /li liYou are proactive and solution-oriented with strong communication skills. /li liYou are fluent in English with active knowledge of Dutch or French. /li /ul h3Nice to Haves /h3 ul liWillingness to obtain a security clearance. /li liPassive knowledge of both Dutch and French. /li /ul h3Offer /h3 ul liStart date: 01/11/2026 /li liDuration: 2 months plus extension /li liWork regime: Full-time /li liLocation: Brussels /li liWorking model: Hybrid (2 days onsite on Tuesday and Thursday) /li liContract: Open to both permanent employees and freelancers /li /ul
