About the role
As a Functional Safety Architect, you contribute to the technical development, quality and reliability of automotive products with a focus on functional safety for e-DCT transmission systems. You help ensure that current and future designs comply with automotive safety standards and that safety requirements are correctly translated across domains and suppliers.
You work closely with functional safety specialists, engineers, process owners and other disciplines to support safety analyses, safety cases and project technical compliance. Your role combines strategic insight with hands-on execution in an environment involving vehicle system architectures, control systems and embedded hardware and software.

Key responsibilities
Own the safety concept for e-DCT transmission systems and ensure the correctness of functional safety analysesSupport functional safety specialists and engineers in executing safety activities throughout product developmentEnsure that functional safety requirements and design inputs are correctly defined for applicable engineering domainsCoordinate functional safety requirements and design expectations with applicable suppliersMonitor and report functional safety compliance and ensure relevant evidence is included in the safety caseProvide feedback and support to the functional safety process owner on processes, procedures and methodsSafeguard the technical compliance of project outputs against applicable functional safety expectationsWhat we're looking forWe are looking for a technically strong functional safety professional with solid automotive experience, strong analytical skills and the ability to work across systems, hardware, software and supplier interfaces.
Master of Science in Automotive, Electrical or Systems Engineering, or a related fieldExpert knowledge of ISO 26262, including first and second editions, with strong functional safety theory and specific on-the-job experienceStrong experience with safety concepts, HARA, DFMEA, FTA and FMEDA for automotive embedded hardware and software at system and sub-system level5+ years of hands-on experience with vehicle system architectures and control systems, including progressive responsibilityStrong knowledge of systems engineering principles, hardware and software design concepts, and architecture modeling toolsExperience interpreting requirements from design through production, with knowledge of requirement management tools such as Polarion, DOORS or IntegrityKnowledge of comparable functional safety standards such as IEC 61508, ISO 25119 or EN 5012X, and accredited training or qualification, is preferred but not mandatoryExperience with analysis tools such as ANSYS Medini Analyze, Isograph FT+ and IQ-RM, and knowledge of software quality processes such as CMMI or Automotive SPICEExperience in electric vehicle applications or automotive powertrain technologies is a plusFluent English, both oral and written, with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplinesWhy join us?At VeroTech, you’re part of a real community where engineers grow and thrive together while working on cutting-edge projects in several sectors, enjoying flexibility and true support from colleagues.
