Project Manager – Control Room Solutions (EMEA)
Location:
Hybrid, based in Central Europe (travel up to 50% across EMEA)Employment Type: Full‑time (M/F)
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to deliver complex, mission‑critical control room projects across EMEA. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to design, integrate, and deploy KVM and/or Professional AV solutions—balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety for customers in sectors such as utilities, transportation, security & defense, emergency operations, oil & gas, finance, broadcast, and manufacturing.
Typical project budgets: 100K – 10,000KExperience required: 2-5 years of end‑to‑end project managementKey ResponsibilitiesEnd‑to‑End Delivery – Own the full lifecycle from contract handover to final acceptance (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & control, closure).
Financial Control – Build and manage budgets (100k–10M), track cost to complete, margin protection, cash flow forecasting, and timely invoicing.
Planning & Scheduling – Develop and maintain integrated schedules (milestones, dependencies, critical path); manage site readiness and resource plans.
Risk, Quality & Safety – Lead risk/issue/change control;Stakeholder Management – Serve as primary customer interface; facilitate steering committees; manage partners, subcontractors, and vendors.
Technical Coordination – Orchestrate design reviews, POC's, and cut‑over plans with Engineering, Solution Architects, and AE teams.
Commercial & Contracting – Administer contracts, variations/claims, and change orders; Manage SLAs, warranty, and acceptance criteria.
Documentation & Handover – Ensure as‑built documentation, training, manuals, and successful handover to Service/Support.
Travel – Up to 50% across EMEA for sites, customer meetings, supplier audits, and commissioning.
Required Qualifications & Experience>2 years of project management delivering control room, KVM, and/or Professional AV integration projects.
Demonstrated success managing projects with multi‑site, multi‑vendor scope in EMEA.
Familiar with mission‑critical environments and concepts (24/7 operations, redundancy/N+1, uptime SLAs, cybersecurity considerations).
Proficient with project tools (e.g., MS Project or equivalent; Excel for cost & progress reporting).
Languages: Fluent English and German; additional European languages (e.g, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch) are an advantage.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, AV Technology, or related field (Master’s a plus).
Technical & Domain Knowledge (Nice to Have)KVM vendors/technologies: AV & networking standards: HDMI/SDI/DP, HDCP, EDID, SMPTE (e.g., ST 2110), IP multicast, Dante/AES67, PoE, VLAN/QoS, SNMP.
Control room ecosystems: video wall processors, operator consoles, environmental ergonomics, alarm/event management, recording, and room control.
Strong grasp of KVM (e.g., matrix & IP‑based KVM, redundancy, video wall routing) and Pro AV (signal distribution, video walls, controllers, encoders/decoders).
Certifications (preferred): PMP / PRINCE2.
