Are you a Senior Java Solution Architect with 9+ years of experience in Java development? for a long-term hybrid contract opportunity with a leading public sector client in Namur, Belgium.
Requirements
- 9+ years of Java development experience (front-end and back-end)
- 5+ years of experience as a Java Solution Architect
- Recent relevant experience within the last 3 years in solution architecture
- Strong expertise in Java technologies including recent versions (JDK 17), Spring/Spring Boot/Spring Batch, Hibernate, Kafka, API Gateway, J2EE, and web services
- Experience with containerised, microservices, and stateless architectures
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD and development tools: IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, Maven, Nexus, Git, GitLab, Jenkins, XLDeploy, Jira, SonarQube
- Experience with infrastructure technologies: Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Linux (Red Hat), PostgreSQL, Oracle databases
- Expertise in architecture frameworks and patterns: UML, Design Patterns, ArchiMate, SOA, SOAP, REST, RabbitMQ, integration and interoperability architectures
- Knowledge of testing tools and methodologies
- (Desirable) Experience with AI tools for Java code analysis and generation
- (Desirable) Large-scale Java codebase analysis (>500,000 lines)
- (Desirable) Python and Django
- (Desirable) AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
- (Desirable) Experience with auditing and reverse engineering
- Advise on Java development best practices and software quality
- Analyse architectures, source code, and technical solutions for Java applications within the fiscal ecosystem
- Support applications based on containerised, microservices, and stateless architectures
- Improve code quality, maintainability, and security across tax-related applications
- Assist with infrastructure setup and configuration across development, testing, validation, and production environments
- Provide technical expertise and methodology to development teams
- Coordinate between functional analysts and developers
- Advise on deployment automation in CI/CD and DevSecOps environments
- Ensure optimal integration of new technologies and components
- Support technical and strategic decisions for the programme
- Collaborate with other architects, project managers, and analysts across the organisation
