A Day in the LifeThe Field Service Engineer is responsible for all aspects of equipment support performed at customer sites or prior to delivery, ensuring all activities are completed in compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures. This includes pre-installation checks, system installation and commissioning, planned maintenance, troubleshooting, assessment, and breakdown repair. The Field Service Engineer serves as the main point of contact for local customers and the local commercial team regarding all service and repair–related matters. Travel within South Belgium is expected up to 75%. You will report to the Senior Technical Service Supervisor Belgium and travel regularly within South-Belgium to support customers and business growth.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Lead and execute installations and commissioning of new equipmentPerform preventive maintenance as per service manual checklist. Perform appropriate testing to confirm system functionality according to the manufacturer's specificationsProvide testing and validation support and data to the Global Service organizationAssist in technical support for users of complex systems. Including phone and remote support for users and technical staffCollaborate with other field service engineers to troubleshoot difficult service activitiesTravel to sites to work as a member of the local team to provide efficient repair/installation supportRequired Knowledge and

Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Biomedical / Electronics) with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience and strong troubleshooting skillsExperience working with capital equipment in a healthcare and/or surgical (operating room) environmentStrong problem-solving ability with the capacity to work independently and a customer-focused mindsetTeam player with excellent interpersonal and communication skillsWillingness to travel approximately 75% domestically and internationally, work outside core office hours, and hold a full driving licenceSelf-starter with strong ownership, a can-do mentality, and professional fluency in French and EnglishPhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
