Incoming Quality Control Manager

Location:
Tubize/Herstal Contract Duration: 12 months Start Date: ASAP The Incoming Quality Control Manager is part of the Industrial Quality department and reports to the Industrial Quality Leader. He/She supervises the Incoming Quality Control team, responsible for inspecting products or batches received from suppliers and/or subcontractors. He/She ensures and develops both the quality and operational efficiency of the team. He/She is accountable for compliance with the incoming inspection process and the conformity of all associated deliverables, including products, documentation, traceability, and non-conformance management. Regarding continuous improvement of products and processes, he/she is responsible for implementing all necessary actions and establishing and maintaining performance indicators for the team. To achieve this objective, he/she will collaborate closely with Metrology, Continuous Improvement, Supplier Management, Quality Assurance, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Purchasing. He/She has expertise in mechanical and/or electromechanical technologies, particularly in reading technical drawings, understanding measurement tolerances, and using inspection equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure that priorities are properly defined and distributed within the inspection team according to production needs and incoming deliveries.
- Ensure production continuity through short-, medium-, and long-term workload analysis.
- Propose and implement appropriate actions within the quality control team regarding processes, equipment, and resources.
- Ensure compliance with the incoming inspection process and the conformity of all deliverables.
- Ensure the effectiveness of the inspection process through specific analyses (e.g., VSM, NAVAS, etc.) and performance indicators.
- Ensure follow-up and execution of team training plans.
- When required, occasionally perform quality inspection activities to support the team.
- Profile: Engineering degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams in industrial quality control.
- Fluent in French and English (professional proficiency required, both written and spoken).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical document writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Capable of building and maintaining a strong team spirit.

- Rigorous, methodical, and well organized.
- Additional Desired

Skills:
Knowledge of ISO 1101 (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing for mechanical parts).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and EN9100 standards.
- Problem-solving methodologies (Ishikawa, 5W, 8D).
- Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA/FMEA).
