BOSAL is a Dutch privately owned company, mainly known as a global Tier 1 automotive supplier, in business since 1923.We employ about 2200 people in 16 production facilities of which the largest ones are situated in Czechia, Mexico, Turkey and South Africa.
Our corporate research center is based in Belgium, next to that we run 5 other R&D satellites worldwide.
Currently, we are looking for an Industrial Engineer Energy in Lummen (Belgium):
As an Industrial Engineer you will analyze, optimize and improve complex systems and operational processes to maximize efficiency, minimize waste and material usage, and ensure the effective use of resources while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Your responsibilities:
- Design and optimize facility layouts, production lines, and workflows, including the development of digital factory twins.
- Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and cost reduction.
- Conduct time, motion, and workflow studies to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Perform capacity planning, resource allocation, and production optimization.
- Evaluate and optimize production and business processes to improve efficiency and performance.
- Define performance metrics, monitor KPI’s, and drive data driven decision-making.
Your profile:
Skills & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years experience in a similar role in an international environment.
- Solid knowledge of and experience with process improvement methodologies, including Lean principles and waste elimination (the 8 Wastes).
- Proven experience in conducting root cause analyses using Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with project management methodologies and project planning.
- You’re proactive and analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, time studies and Digital Twin concepts is a big plus.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, with excellent communication skills
