The Corporate Planning division,locatedin Brussels, consists of several departments: The corporate planning department in charge of Group Controlling & Daikin Europe controlling, the Business Analytics department, the Internal controls & J-Sox department, and Corporate Communications department.

The divisionis responsible fordrilling down the strategy into annual budgets and realizing the group targets. This is done in cooperation with all sales and manufacturing entities, as well as with other departments in Daikin Europe. As a backbone for group-wide reporting, the department takes care of the management of the sales-, margin-, and pricing data, as well as collecting and reporting market intelligence.

Our mission is to safeguard and manage profitability, via periodic reporting to top-management, close follow-up and by proposing countermeasure actions.

Furthermore, the divisionis responsible forthe development and implementation of corporate governance and internal controls in the group (e.g. J-SOxand system access).

About the job - Data and Control Analyst

We areseekinga detail-oriented and improvement-focused Senior Data & Control Analyst to join ourproject teamat Daikin EMEA HQ in Brussels.

In this role, you will ensure and developtheframework of our reporting environmentwithin our IT system landscape,participatingand leadingroll-outs, standardisation and improvement projects across the entire Daikin EMEA Group.

You will act as the bridge between business and IT by collaborating with various stakeholders, including senior management, business controllers, and IT analysts in Daikin HQ and Affiliate companies of the EMEA group.

Function

  • You will be involved in SAProll-outsat our daughter companies. You will propose and implement changes to improve the controlling function.Core focusto be topromote and support process improvement and standardisation initiatives across Daikin Europe HQ and its entities.
  • You will discuss changes requested by the business and, together with IT, translate these into SAP solutions.
  • You will be involved in the roll-out of managerial reporting across different business streams and software packages at our daughter companies. During these projects,you will focusmainly onthe interface with SAP for controlling functionalities, as well as the reporting track in Power BI to ensure data lineage.
  • You will work with a wide range of stakeholders, each with different requirements. Youare able toset priorities, manage expectations and communicate accordingly.
  • You will lead these initiatives end-to-end as project owner — planning, coordinating and steering cross-functional projects across business,ITand finance, keeping multiple workstreams on track and delivering on time.
  • You will drive organisation and change management to ensure adoption of new processes and systems, guiding stakeholders through the transition and embedding new ways of working.
  • You will drive conceptual implementations together with the Global Process Owner (GPO) across the organisation, including end-to-end modelling within SAP,presentingand defending it to management and a broad audience, and activelyparticipatingin its implementation.
  • You will own andmaintaincore documentation and governance over the fundamentals of the controlling function.
  • You will drive the implementation of therebatesmodule across Daikin entities.

Your profile

  • You have a Master's degree in business economics, finance or controlling.
  • You already have extended experience in a similar role as controller or SAP key-user, or extended experience in an analytical position.
  • You have depth experience of S/4HANA (SD, FI and CO), ideally including exposure to migration or rollout projects.
  • You have experience with testing and UAT for new SAP processes, system changes, or implementation projects.
  • You have experience with SAP reporting tools (e.g. FAGLL03H) to build and analyse financial and management reporting.
  • You bring strong project management skills — you plan, organise and steer projects to completion, and are comfortable coordinating stakeholders and workstreams across functions independently.
  • You have experience with, or a strong affinity for, change management — driving adoption and helping people through process and system change.
  • You are prepared to travel abroad (15% of your time) and/or to the Oostkamp office (Accounting & IT) when projects or meetings require this.
  • You work accurately, with the ability to dig into the details without losing the helicopter view.
  • You have experience working in a multi-company environment, coordinating across different affiliates.
