About the role
As a VeroTech consultant, you will support mechanical product development projects from early laboratory prototypes through industrialisation. You will work in an international engineering and manufacturing environment, collaborating with project leaders, local teams and international facilities.
Your focus will be on specifying, designing and improving mechanical and thermodynamic systems, including pumps, piping, coolers, fans, valves, sheet metal and castings. You will combine 3D CAD design, calculations, testing, supplier interaction and production support to create robust, manufacturable and serviceable solutions.
Key responsibilities
Develop 3D CAD designs for mechanical systems and componentsBuild and maintain Bills of Materials for product development and manufacturingPerform design calculations, risk analyses and technical evaluations for cost, manufacturability, logistics and serviceabilityDefine test programs and follow up prototype testing from preparation to technical assessmentPrepare assembly instructions and support the transition from prototype to full-scale manufacturingCollaborate with suppliers, purchasing, production, service and international engineering teamsTroubleshoot quality or performance issues in production and field installations and implement permanent solutionsWhat we're looking forWe are looking for a hands-on mechanical engineer who combines solid technical judgement with ownership, clear communication and a collaborative mindset in an iterative product development environment.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experienceGood proficiency in English and Dutch.
Experience with 3D CAD software such as Creo, Inventor or SolidWorks is a strong advantageStrong affinity with mechanical design, thermodynamics and structural calculationsKnowledge of international standards such as ISO, PED and ASMEAbility to set priorities, work independently and contribute to fast iterative design processesOpen, science-backed communication style with the ability to build networks across purchasing, production, service and suppliersHands-on team player with an innovative, growth-oriented mindset, a can-do attitude and a strong sense of ownershipWhy join us?At VeroTech, you’re part of a real community where engineers grow and thrive together while working on cutting-edge projects in several sectors, enjoying flexibility and true support from colleagues.
