Mobile Test Automation Engineer

ph3Mission context /h3 pWe are looking for an expert test automation consultant to implement and execute end-to-end automated tests for mobile customer journeys that pass through screens delivered by a Flutter-based SDK and embedded in native iOS and Android applications.br/The role involves test automation execution: creating reliable, maintainable coverage of complete user journeys from the host applications, including transitions between native and SDK-provided screens. SDK development and integration are outside the assignment. /p pIn this assignment, the consultant is expected to act as a hands-on Mobile Test Automation Engineer. /p ul liDesign, implement and maintain automated end-to-end scenarios for complete iOS and Android user journeys, including transitions between native and SDK-provided screens. /li liTranslate agreed business scenarios and acceptance criteria into robust, reusable automated tests. /li liPrepare and manage the test data and prerequisites required for repeatable execution. /li liExecute test suites on supported real and virtual devices; analyse failures and document defects with reproducible evidence. /li liDistinguish application defects from test-script, environment and test-data issues. /li liIntegrate execution and reporting into the delivery process, working with development and DevOps colleagues. /li liImprove suite reliability, execution time, maintainability and diagnostic quality. /li liDocument the approach, coverage, operating instructions and known limitations; share knowledge with testers and developers. /li /ul h3Language requirements /h3 pLanguage requirementsbr/Dutch – Is a plusbr/French – Is a plusbr/English – Sound knowledge of English is required for daily collaboration, documentation and defect reporting. /p h3Education /h3 pBachelor or master degree in IT, engineering, computer science or equivalent professional experience. /p h3Certification /h3 pISTQB certification is an advantage. /p pRelevant mobile test automation certification is a plus. /p h3Telework /h3 pExpectation: 50% on site and 50% homeworking, according to the applicable team arrangements. /p h3Agile requirements /h3 pThe profile must work effectively in an Agile delivery context: /p ul liPragmatic, constructive and committed to continuous learning. /li liCollaborates actively with testers, developers, analysts and product stakeholders. /li liAbility to deliver test automation incrementally within sprints and provide rapid, factual feedback. /li liChallenges testability and acceptance criteria constructively. /li liDocuments and improves the testing approach continuously. /li /ul h3Required experience / knowledge /h3 pAt least 6 years of software testing experience, with strong hands-on mobile automation experience on both iOS and Android. The consultant must work autonomously on an existing application and turn business-critical journeys into maintainable end-to-end tests. /p h3Technical experience /h3 pmandatory /p ul liStrong hands-on Appium experience on Android and iOS, including end-to-end journeys across native and embedded or hybrid interfaces. /li liGood command of Java and Selenium-based automation, with BDD practices using Cucumber and Gherkin. /li liExperience designing maintainable automation frameworks and reusable components. /li liExperience with real devices, emulators and simulators, including device setup, element inspection and execution troubleshooting. /li liExperience with Perfecto or an equivalent enterprise mobile device testing platform. /li liExperience integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines and analysing results. /li liGood knowledge of Git, Maven, Jenkins or equivalent tooling, and TestNG or a comparable test runner. /li liAbility to interpret logs, screenshots and execution evidence for defect analysis. /li liSound knowledge of testing standards and test design principles. /li /ul h3Technical experience /h3 ul liExperience testing Flutter modules or SDK-provided screens embedded in native applications, including Flutter testability and element-interaction challenges. /li liExperience with native mobile test technologies such as UI Automator or Espresso on Android and XCUITest on iOS. /li liExperience with API validation, mocking or stubbing to improve repeatability and diagnosis. /li liExperience with automated reporting and management of unstable mobile tests. /li liKnowledge of accessibility, visual validation or performance checks in a mobile testing context. /li /ul /p
