As Procurement Specialist – Indirect Spend, you will become part of a highly professional procurement organization supporting one of Belgium's largest technical service providers. Working across a broad portfolio of indirect categories, you will play a key role in developing sourcing strategies, negotiating complex agreements and building sustainable supplier partnerships that support the company's ambitious growth objectives.
Rather than simply purchasing goods and services, you will help shape procurement decisions that impact thousands of employees, numerous business units and critical projects across the country.
JobdescriptionAs Procurement Specialist, you will take ownership of a diverse indirect spend portfolio and act as a trusted business partner for internal stakeholders.
You will be responsible for driving sourcing initiatives from A to Z, balancing quality, service, innovation, sustainability and total cost of ownership.
Your responsibilities include:Developing and executing category and sourcing strategies for indirect spend.
Managing competitive tender processes and supplier selection.
Leading commercial negotiations covering pricing, contractual conditions, service levels and long-term partnerships.
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into procurement strategies.
Managing supplier performance through KPI monitoring, business reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identifying market developments, innovation opportunities and supply risks to proactively support the business.
Collaborating closely with Legal, Finance, Operations and technical departments throughout procurement projects.
Ensuring procurement activities comply with internal governance, contractual obligations and sustainability objectives.
Contributing to the continuous professionalization of procurement processes, tools and supplier management.
ProfileYou are someone who enjoys influencing stakeholders, challenging suppliers and creating measurable business value through procurement.
You combine commercial acumen with analytical thinking and know how to build credibility at every level of the organization.
Ideally, you bring:Experience within strategic procurement, sourcing or category management.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
The ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
A structured, proactive and ownership-driven mindset.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience within technical services, construction, industrial environments or indirect procurement is considered a strong asset.
Professional proficiency in Dutch and English. French is a valuable additional asset.
