Senior CAD Drafter (2D) – Electrical & Technical Design Dessel, Belgium (On-site) Contract Duration: ASAP – 31 December 2026 (Full-time, 9 months)
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior CAD Drafter (2D) to support the design and development of technical solutions within a highly regulated and safety-driven environment. This role involves creating detailed technical drawings, electrical schematics, and design documentation to meet operational and project requirements. You will play a key role in translating concepts into accurate execution drawings while ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop technical solutions (tools, systems, electrical circuits, layouts) Prepare and analyze design assignments, including gathering missing data Interpret sketches, drawings, and perform on-site measurements Produce detailed drawings using specialized CAD/design software Create electrical schematics (e.g., P&IDs, installation and layout drawings) Perform technical calculations (e.g., strength calculations, cable sizing) Select appropriate materials and components based on technical and safety requirements Maintain and manage drawing databases and documentation lifecycle (design as-built) Contribute to technical specifications and ensure compliance during design phases Prepare technical construction files and documentation Support internal teams and external stakeholders with technical expertise Handle supplier interactions and technical queries Assist in preparing CE, MOC, and construction dossiers Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience Strong experience in 2D CAD drafting Knowledge of the following tools and domains: AutoCAD, EPLAN, Caneco Electrical systems and instrumentation Automation hardware Fiber optics and data communication AREI regulations Experience with technical drawing software and engineering calculations Understanding of safety standards in complex or regulated environments BA4 certification is an advantage Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset Languages Dutch: Native or bilingual proficiency Additional Information Candidates with knowledge of compliance documentation (CE, MOC) are highly valued Experience in high-safety or industrial environments is a strong plus Why Apply?
