pOur client, which operates in the insurance sector and is located in the heart of Brussels, is looking for a legal professional specializing in professional liability. The ideal candidate has experience as a legal professional or attorney in the insurance sector. Expertise in liability law is a major plus. Since our client is a small, people-oriented company, you must be fluent in Dutch and French. The work environment is friendly and pleasant. Our client offers you the opportunity to work on complex cases and develop your skills in the day-to-day management of legal cases. /pulliYou manage claims files for Professional Liability (primarily), Business Liability, and Directors’ Liability from start to finish and determine the course of action; /liliYou investigate the files and analyze liability issues; /liliYou communicate regarding the acceptance of the claim and explain the rationale behind your decision to each party involved (our policyholders, the opposing party, and/or their attorney); /liliIn the event of legal proceedings, you will be responsible for liaising with our attorneys and for monitoring the cases; /liliYou will assess reserves and settle claims; /liliYou will handle cases in both Dutch and French; /liliYou will provide legal assistance to the Secretary General (legal research, drafting documents, etc.); /li /ululliYou hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in law; /liliYou have a very good knowledge of insurance law and at least three years of experience practicing law or working at an insurance company; /liliYou have a very good command of Dutch. Your written Dutch must be flawless.
