Process Engineer

As part of our Life Sciences activities, we are looking for a Process Engineer to support a major capacity expansion project within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Integrated into the project team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of strategic investments aimed at increasing production capabilities. From engineering studies through commissioning and start-up, you will act as a key interface between engineering, operations, quality and project stakeholders to ensure technical excellence and smooth project execution.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

• Support the design, development and implementation of process solutions related to production capacity expansion projects.
• Participate in all project phases, from conceptual and detailed engineering through construction, commissioning and start-up.
• Review and challenge process engineering deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances and equipment specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including production, engineering, validation, automation and quality departments.
• Support process risk assessments, HAZOP workshops and technical design reviews.
• Coordinate suppliers and engineering contractors throughout project execution.
• Support commissioning, qualification and process start-up activities.
• Monitor project progress and ensure technical solutions meet GMP, quality and operational requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.

ABOUT YOU:

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Process Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Process Engineering within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or Life Sciences industry.
• Experience supporting CAPEX projects and production capacity expansion initiatives.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and GMP requirements.
• Experience participating in multidisciplinary project teams from engineering through commissioning.
• Knowledge of process risk assessments, process troubleshooting and industrial project execution.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English is mandatory, combined with either Dutch or French.
