As a Student Legal Engineer, your main job is to test our AI legal tools. You make sure they get the law right before they reach our lawyers and clients. You bring the legal judgement, and our engineers fix what you find.
What you'll do
- Test AI legal agents that review, draft and analyse contracts (NDAs, shareholder agreements, employment documents and more)
- Check AI outputs for legal accuracy, missing points and wrong reasoning
- Write test cases and realistic scenarios to challenge the tools
- Score results against clear pass/fail criteria and report issues clearly to the team
- Re-test fixes and follow up until the tools meet our quality standard
- Support our lawyers with occasional legal research on Belgian [and French] law
- You're a law student currently in Master 1 or Master 2 (this role is open to Master students only)
- You've already done at least one internship at a large law firm
- You have a critical eye and strong attention to detail, and you notice when something is legally off
- You write clear, structured feedback
- You're curious about AI and legal technology. No coding needed.
- You can work on site in Ixelles 10 to 20 hours a week
- Languages: [French and English required; Dutch is a plus]
- Hands-on experience with AI in legal practice, a skill set more and more firms are looking for
- Real responsibility: you decide whether a tool is good enough to go live
- Close mentoring from practising lawyers
- Flexible hours that fit your academic schedule
- A young, ambitious team in a central Brussels office
