pA major player in the Belgian energy sector is looking for an experienced bIT Domain Architect /b to strengthen its IT Architecture team and take ownership of the Asset business domain. /p pThe role focuses on ensuring that the Asset domain IT landscape remains coherent, secure, resilient, operable and future-proof while supporting reliable electricity grid operations. The Domain Architect will act as a bridge between business strategy and IT execution, translating business capabilities and operational requirements into scalable architectural roadmaps and technical blueprints. /p pThe position operates in a critical-infrastructure environment where architecture must balance operational reliability, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, cost, innovation and long-term maintainability. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liPartner with Business Architecture to translate business capabilities into actionable IT roadmaps. /li liConvert complex business processes and requirements into detailed IT architecture blueprints. /li liDefine and maintain domain-specific architectural principles and standards. /li liEnsure alignment with enterprise, group and local architecture principles and reference architectures. /li liPresent and defend architecture proposals before the Architectural Review Board. /li liDocument key architectural decisions through Architectural Decision Records. /li liPrevent architectural drift and unmanaged technical debt. /li liMonitor domain-level SLA and OLA performance and identify architectural risks. /li liMaintain the Asset domain application and platform portfolio within the Enterprise Architecture Repository. /li liPerform portfolio assessments using methodologies such as Gartner TIME and 6R. /li liIdentify application and platform reuse opportunities to reduce complexity, technical debt and operating costs. /li liCollaborate with Solution Architects to ensure solutions remain viable throughout their build, run, evolve and retire lifecycle. /li liConduct architectural trade-off analyses covering cost, risk, complexity and time to value. /li liPerform peer reviews of Solution Architecture deliverables. /li liDevelop and maintain long-term Asset domain architecture roadmaps. /li liAdvise senior stakeholders on architectural implications of Asset strategy decisions. /li liCollaborate with Data and Solution Architects on asset data models, integration patterns and data ownership. /li liEnsure interoperability between enterprise systems, operational systems and analytics platforms. /li liSupport semantic consistency and data quality across the Asset domain. /li liCollaborate with security and compliance stakeholders to embed cybersecurity, resilience, availability and compliance requirements into architectures. /li liDefine architectural measures supporting business continuity and disaster recovery. /li /ul h3Must have /h3 ul liStrong professional experience in bIT Architecture /b, preferably at Domain or Enterprise Architecture level. /li liDeep knowledge of bTOGAF /b. /li liStrong experience with bArchiMate /b. /li liStrong background in bEnergy Utilities /b, Asset Management, Infrastructure or comparable operational environments. /li liUnderstanding of bIT/OT integration /b and operational technology constraints. /li liExperience working with business-critical or safety-critical systems. /li liStrong understanding of architecture governance and architectural decision-making. /li liAbility to translate business capabilities and processes into IT architecture roadmaps and blueprints. /li liStrong stakeholder management and communication skills across executive, business and technical audiences. /li liAbility to evaluate architectural trade-offs involving cost, risk, complexity and time to value. /li liUnderstanding of security, availability, resilience, regulatory compliance and operational risk. /li liNative-level proficiency in bDutch, French or German /b. /li liProfessional proficiency in bEnglish /b. /li liAbility to work on site approximately b2 days per week in Brussels /b. /li /ul h3Should have /h3 ul liExperience with bDomain-Driven Design /b. /li liExperience with bEvent Storming /b. /li liExperience with bAgile Architecture /b practices. /li liFamiliarity with bATAM – Architecture Tradeoff Analysis Method /b. /li liExperience with application and platform portfolio management. /li liExperience working with Enterprise, Solution, Security, Platform, Information and Data Architects. /li liExperience presenting architecture proposals to an Architecture Review Board. /li liExperience documenting decisions through Architectural Decision Records. /li liUnderstanding of business continuity and disaster recovery architecture. /li /ul h3Nice to have /h3 ul liKnowledge of one or more additional Belgian national languages. /li liExperience with b6R application rationalization framework /b. /li liPrevious experience within a Transmission System Operator or comparable critical-infrastructure organiz
