Bruxelles Business model : Freelance or Employee Duration : Long term Start date : Idealy September Remote : Hybrid Azure Cloud Engineer Our client is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to strengthen its Application Engineering Team and support the expansion of its Azure cloud capabilities.

The team currently consists of cloud engineers, architects, a Product Owner, and a Team Lead, and plays a key role within the IT Foundation organization.
The successful candidate will contribute to the design, implementation, operation, and optimization of secure and scalable Azure cloud environments while promoting Infrastructure as Code, automation, and cloud best practices.
Key responsibilities
Cloud engineering: Design, implement, and maintain Azure-based cloud solutions Support cloud-native applications and infrastructure deployments Ensure platform availability, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency Infrastructure as code (IaC): Develop and maintain reusable Infrastructure as Code solutions using Bicep and TerraForm Contribute to automation initiatives and CI/CD integration Promote standardization through modular and maintainable deployments Networking & Security: Manage and optimize Azure networking components, including Virtual Networks, Nsgs, Private Endpoints, Firewalls, Gateways, and Load Balancers Implement and maintain cloud security best practices Support Identity & Access Management using Entra ID, RBAC, and PIM Contribute to Zero Trust and Azure Policy implementations Operations & continuous improvement: Monitor cloud environments and optimize performance and costs Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues Improve operational maturity, reliability, and governance practices Collaborate closely with architects, developers, security teams, and business stakeholders Required skills Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (TerraForm and/or Bicep) Solid understanding of Azure networking and cloud security Experience with Azure Container Apps (ACA) and containerized workloads Experience with Azure API Management (APIM) Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions Experience with Azure xirbnpk Monitor and Log Analytics Preferred qualifications Experience with Azure Verified Modules Experience with container orchestration and management Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, or security-related certifications Soft skills Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Proactive and solution-oriented mindset High level of ownership and accountability Team player with a collaborative approach Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Success factors Deliver secure, scalable, and reliable Azure solutions Maintain high-quality and reusable IaC assets Foster collaboration between IT, development, and business teams Build trust through transparency, consistency, and proactive communication
