For our client, industrial entity of an international group, we are looking for a
Head of Finance
(M/F/X)
Job Summary We are looking for a Head of Finance to lead the Finance team
as part of a broader finance reorganization. You will also be responsible for IT at the site. This role is reporting directly to the Site Manager, and you will be part of the Management Team.
You also have a
functional reporting line to the CFO Europe .
Key Responsibilities You are responsible for the
yearly budget and monthly & quarterly forecast
in close cooperation with the headquarters. You will be leading the Accounting and the IT / Business Solutions department at the site. You are responsible for the preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with Belgian Gaap and IFRS, according to the group policies and in close cooperation with our headquarters; You will be reviewing and proactively managing the corporate performance and acting on deviations; You will also be developing and optimizing existing business processes, according to the best practice; You will effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and senior management, as well as to advisory and business management contacts; You will maintain good professional relationships with internal stakeholders as well as external stakeholders (Tax offices, Auditors, Essenscia, Wallonia Region (grants), Suppliers, Bank,Public Federal Public Service Economy, Insurance, etc.)
Key Challenges Implementation of effective cost control systems. Integration of all new IT systems. Personnel management of the Accounting and IT/BS departments. Submission of reports by the required deadlines. All the company’s financial transactions (no complaints). Keeping departmental expenses within budget. Contributing to the achievement of key strategic objectives.
Requirements You have a master’s degree in economics, Business Administration / Accountancy or any related field; You have a minimum of 5 years professional experience in finance, accounting and controlling in an international and industrial group environment in a position as manager; You have extensive SAP FI/CO experience. (Having worked with SAP's other modules, SD and MM, would be an advantage); You are excellent in MS Office, in particular Excel and a high level over IT affinity; You are business fluent in French and English, both oral and written, German and Dutch are an advantage;
