Design and release engineer

About the role
As a VeroTech consultant, you contribute to the development and release of torque transfer and transmission components, with a focus on gear systems, manufacturability, durability, efficiency, cost and NVH requirements. You work across design, analysis, validation and supplier collaboration to deliver robust engineering solutions.
You collaborate with design, CAE, manufacturing, purchasing, quality and supplier teams throughout product development. Your work supports high-quality releases, prototype and pilot build activities, production issue resolution and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities
Design and optimize gear pairs and planetary gear trains considering manufacturability, durability, efficiency, cost and NVH requirementsPerform gear design, engineering calculations, simulations and analytical studies using tools such as KISSsoft, MASTA and LDPGuide CAD development through GD&T and tolerance stack-up analyses for detailed component drawingsLead technical requirements, specifications and design reviews for transmission components and subsystemsPrepare and maintain engineering deliverables, including EBOMs, CAD models, drawings and technical documentationCoordinate DFM reviews and supplier meetings to support sourcing, quotation, process changes and engineering change managementSupport validation, DFMEA, DVP&R, prototype builds, root cause investigations and corrective action developmentWhat we're looking forWe are looking for an analytical mechanical engineering profile with a strong interest in gear design, transmission systems and manufacturing processes, able to work collaboratively in a demanding product development environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related fieldKnowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentalsStrong interest in gear design, transmission systems and manufacturing processesUnderstanding of product development processes and engineering documentationFamiliarity with KISSsoft, MASTA or LDP is an advantageKnowledge of APQP tools and methodologies is considered a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentFluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is considered an assetWhy join us?At VeroTech, you’re part of a real community where engineers grow and thrive together while working on cutting-edge projects in several sectors, enjoying flexibility and true support from colleagues.
