Our client, an established financial institution in Belgium, is looking for a Senior IT Security Officer to strengthen its First Line of Defence IT Security team. In this role, you'll contribute both deep technical expertise and organisational know-how, helping the team grow in maturity across its different security domains.
Your responsibilities
Play a transversal role within the IT Security team, supporting capabilities such as Incident Management, Vulnerability Management, Hardening, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Security Projects.
Act as a technical reference for fellow Security Officers, sharing your experience and expertise to help them succeed.
Bring structure and organisational best practices to the team, raising the maturity of each security pillar.
Represent the organisation in technical discussions, both internally with other IT teams and externally with third-party suppliers.
Your profile
Technical skills
Extensive, hands-on knowledge of IT security
Proven experience improving Incident Management processes
Solid knowledge of system hardening and vulnerability management
Experience in Security Governance
Soft skills
Highly organised, with a natural talent for creating structure xlxgzvr
Excellent interpersonal skills; you build trust and collaborate easily
Project management experience
A strong eye for detail
Able to identify process gaps and drive improvements
