GIS Analyst | Diegem | ENG

For a company in Diegem we are looking for a GIS Analyst. The company provides a service platform for collecting road toll charges in European countries using a smart GPS based tolling system. You will support the Map and Tariff team which is responsible for the digital map that is used in the final product. You support the team in correct and accurate representation of geo information in the databases. This includes below activities:
- Map Modelling: utilizing map editing tools such as ArcGIS Pro and QGIS to make changes to the digital map. This might involve adding new features, modifying existing ones, or deleting outdated or incorrect information.
- Assisting the team in various GIS and data analyses.
- Creating routine reports using the report creating tools

- You have a bachelor's or master's degree in one of the following fields: Geography, Bioengineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electromechanical Engineering
- You have a passion for maps and IT
- Ideally you are experienced in using a GIS Editing tool: ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro (ESRI) or QGIS
- SQL, object-oriented programming and FME knowledge are a plus
- You are fluent in English Aanbod
- Learning and Gaining experience on how to use FME in GIS work
- Gaining experience in database manipulations using SQL
- Gaining experience in safe Agile methodology and how it implies in real world team work This assignment will run until the end of the year and may be extended thereafter, depending on the status of the projects.
