For one of our clients, one of Europe’s fastest-growing high-tech manufacturing groups, we are looking for a Manufacturing Systems Engineer – Testing & Automation to strengthen its production team in Tienen.


In this role, you will work directly with Production and Operations to solve technical problems, improve manufacturing processes and further develop the systems used to test advanced camera products. You will help ensure that production and test processes remain reliable, efficient and scalable as manufacturing volumes increase.


Your Responsibilities

  • Analyse recurring production and test failures and identify whether their source lies in the product, process, test equipment, fixture, software or configuration
  • Develop and maintain automated production test systems
  • Modify and optimize test sequences, scripts and system configurations
  • Improve the reliability, repeatability and speed of production testing
  • Support day-to-day manufacturing operations and resolve technical problems directly on the production floor
  • Analyse test results and production data to identify failure trends and improvement opportunities
  • Adapt manufacturing and test systems for new products, product changes and increasing production volumes
  • Work with operators to introduce practical solutions and provide technical guidance and training


Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Automation, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Professional experience in manufacturing, production, industrialization or production test engineering
  • Experience with automated test systems, test equipment or industrial automation
  • Programming or scripting experience, for example with Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, C#, C++ or a comparable language
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across Production, Operations and R&D
  • Professional working proficiency in English and Dutch / willingness to learn Dutch
