TREMEC in Zedelgem is part of the international TREMEC Corporation with over 1,200 employees, spread across four locations in Mexico, the USA and Belgium. At our entity in Zedelgem (near Bruges), more than 100 engineers and colleagues work on the development, testing, prototyping and production of high-technology transmission systems and subsystems.
Your role:
As a Development Engineer, you will transform innovative concepts into robust, production-ready solutions that help shape the future of mobility.
Working in a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will combine technical analysis, design, validation and problem-solving to develop products that meet demanding targets for performance, reliability and efficiency. From the first concept through industrialization and continuous improvement, you play a key role in bringing new technologies to life.
Your tasks include:
Lead the development of components and subsystems (e.g. pumps, park clocks, solenoids, actuation systems...) for advanced drivetrain applications.
Translate technical requirements into robust engineering solutions through calculations, simulations and risk analyses.
Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and industrialization.
Work closely with our test engineers to validate designs, analyze results and optimize product performance.
Investigate technical issues and drive effective corrective actions.
Contribute to future technology developments and continuous product improvements.
Your profile:
Engineer at heart, driven by innovation and solving complex technical challenges.
Master's degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in the development of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and/or mechatronic systems.
Strong analytical skills combined with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset.
Comfortable taking ownership and collaborating across disciplines.
Curious, proactive and continuously looking for better technical solutions.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or Spanish is a plus.
