It sets out the long term strategy for Ageas and coordinates numerous initiatives across the Group to help realise the strategic ambitions. The Corporate Centre also facilitates knowledge and skills sharing amongst its local operating entities and JV’s, creating strong connections and leveraging on local strengths. It represents the Ageas Group towards external parties, managing relations with analysts, retail and institutional investors, regulators, rating agencies and the media. /p h3Your function /h3 pbFinancial Accounting Closing /b /p ul liEnsure the operational processes (expense notes, accounts payable process, cost reporting, treasury back-office, …) are optimized /li liLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes /li liEnsure timely and qualitative financial reporting for the various companies, both for local accounting (BGAAP) and for group purposes (IFRS) /li liOversee reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and journal entries /li liEnsure timely and qualitative management reporting on the actuals, forecasts and budgets (you will manage the forecast and budget process of the holding companies) /li /ul pbRegulatory Compliance /b /p ul liEnsure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. /li liPrepare statutory accounts and coordinate with external auditors. /li liSupport regulatory reporting teams (e.g., NBB, ECB, FSMA in Belgium) /li liEnsure adequacy of internal controls /li liProvide support in BGAAP and IFRS accounting policies /li liProvide support in various projects /li /ul pbInternal Controls Audit /b /p ul liStrengthen the internal control framework /li liCoordinate internal and external audits /li liIdentify process weaknesses and implement corrective actions /li /ul ol libTeam Leadership Development /b /li /ol ul liManage a team of 5 people and develop accounting teams (general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, etc.). /li liFoster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. /li liEnsure proper workload distribution and team performance. /li /ul ol libProcess Improvement Automation /b /li /ol ul liDrive digitalization and automation of accounting processes. /li liImprove efficiency through system enhancements (ERP, consolidation tools) /li liStandardize procedures and documentation /li /ul ol libBusiness partnering: /b /li /ol ul liCollaborate closely with Consolidation, Treasury and Investment teams, Tax and HR /li liProvide response to ad-hoc questions from senior management, external audit or regulators /li liSupport management with financial insights and technical accounting advice. /li /ul h3Your profile /h3 ul liYou have a bachelor or master’s degree in Finance or Business administration; /li liYou have at least 7 years relevant working experience (experience in one of the big four audit firms is a plus); /li liYou have experience in managing a small team. /li liYou have a good knowledge of Accounting both under Belgian GAAP and IFRS, supplemented with specialized knowledge in the following areas: insurance accounting (under IFRS17), hedge accounting and impairment analysis (IFRS9) /li liExperience with ERP systems (Oracle Netsuite, SAP, Onestream) is a plus.
