Which is where you come in. /p h3bYour Key Accountabilities /b /h3 pAs Head of Environment, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and delivering the environmental strategy for the Olen site.br/Reporting directly to the Site Director, you will lead a team of environmental specialists and ensure the site remains compliant, sustainable and future-focused.br/You will act as the statutory Environmental Coordinator (Type A) and serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, authorities and corporate stakeholders. /p ul liDefine and drive the environmental vision, strategy and objectives for the Olen site. /li liLead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team of approximately 12 employees. /li liEnsure operational excellence across emissions control, waste management and wastewater treatment. /li liPartner with Corporate EHS to deploy Umicore EHS and ESG objectives at site level. /li liLead the environmental permit renewal process and act as the primary contact for regulatory authorities. /li liServe as the legally appointed Environmental Coordinator in line with Flemish legislation. /li liProvide expert environmental advice to management teams and support compliance and sustainability improvements. /li liSupport expansion and investment projects with environmental expertise and permitting guidance. /li liLead soil and groundwater remediation projects and manage stakeholder communication. /li /ul h3bWho we are looking for /b /h3 ul liMaster's degree or PhD in Engineering, Science or Environmental disciplines. /li liCertified Environmental Coordinator Type A. /li liStrong knowledge of environmental legislation, permitting and environmental technologies. /li liProven experience dealing with environmental permits and regulatory authorities. /li liExperienced people leader within an industrial environment. /li liNative Dutch speaker with excellent English skills. /li liStrong communicator able to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels. /li liHands-on, pragmatic and visible leader who enjoys being close to operations. /li /ul pbWhat
