Functional / Data Analyst – Legacy & Data Migration

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Functional / Data Analyst to support the modernization of legacy and mainframe-based systems. The role focuses on analyzing existing applications, data structures and business processes and translating them into modern data models, functional processes and integration concepts.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze legacy/mainframe applications, data structures, data flows and business processes . Document business logic, data definitions, dependencies and functional requirements. Perform data mapping, impact analysis and semantic modelling . Translate legacy requirements into modern functional processes, data models and integration concepts. Contribute to the development of ontologies and semantic models . Analyze and exploit logging, audit trails and data-query information . Support the migration of applications, processes and data to modern platforms. Validate migrated processes and data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Collaborate with business users, architects, developers, DBAs, security specialists and project managers. Facilitate workshops with domain experts and document outcomes. Requirements Expert experience in Business Analysis and Functional Analysis . Strong experience with data modelling, semantic modelling, data mapping and impact analysis . Experience analyzing legacy/mainframe environments . Experience with application, process and data migration . Knowledge of ontologies and semantic models . Experience analyzing logging, audit trails and operational data. Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to bridge business, data, architecture and technology . Dutch, French and English proficiency. Practical Information Start: 15 September 2026 Duration: Until end of 2026, extendable Workload: Full-time (40 hours/week)
