Senior Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support major transformation and digitalization initiatives, particularly those related to the organization’s core business activities and the modernization of its services.

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, structuring, and formalizing business needs, while ensuring alignment between business requirements, IT constraints, and strategic objectives.

In addition to hands-on Business Analysis activities, the role has an important coaching and capability-building dimension, helping the organization structure its Business Analysis practices and progressively develop an internal team of Business Analysts.

The position involves close collaboration with Business, IT, PMO, and Strategy teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Business Analysis

• Gather, analyze, and challenge stakeholder requirements.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, quality, and automation.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
• Define user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure alignment between business needs, IT constraints, and strategic objectives.
• Facilitate workshops for requirements gathering, scoping, and validation.
• Contribute to initiative prioritization and governance.
• Support validation, testing, and production deployment activities.
• Follow initiatives end-to-end, from initial business needs through implementation.

Business Analysis Practice & Governance

• Define and promote Business Analysis standards, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Introduce pragmatic and lightweight approaches adapted to the organization.
• Improve the quality, consistency, and traceability of Business Analysis deliverables.
• Contribute to the overall maturity of the Business Analysis function.

Coaching & Knowledge Transfer

• Coach and support business experts transitioning towards Business Analyst responsibilities.
• Train internal colleagues in process analysis, requirements management, and modelling techniques.
• Establish mentoring and feedback mechanisms.
• Ensure progressive knowledge transfer.
• Contribute to building an autonomous internal Business Analyst capability.

Stakeholder Management & Coordination

• Act as a key liaison between Business, IT, and project teams.
• Facilitate workshops and alignment sessions.
• Identify and manage dependencies between initiatives.
• Help resolve issues related to requirements and business understanding.
• Participate in relevant governance meetings and decision-making processes.

Required Profile

• Strong senior-level experience in Business Analysis, ideally within complex or public-sector environments.
• Ability to quickly understand specific and complex business domains.
• Experience within the public sector or social security environment is a strong asset.
• Strong knowledge of Business Analysis techniques, including process analysis, requirements engineering, and modelling.
• Experience in workshop facilitation and stakeholder management.
• Ability to clearly structure and document complex business requirements.
• Experience in coaching, mentoring, training, or knowledge transfer.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• French and Dutch are required.
• Pragmatic, autonomous, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on environment.
• Ability to combine a strategic overview with attention to operational details.
