pOur client, a prominent organization in the public transport sector, is looking for a technical expert to drive the digitalization of their vehicle fleet. This role focuses on the integration of modern hardware and software components within a complex vehicle platform to enhance driver support and operational efficiency. /p ul liProvide technical leadership and steering for the integration of new and legacy on-board systems. /li liEvaluate and manage the technical performance of external software vendors. /li liDesign and document technical analyses for complex multi-vendor system integrations. /li liOversee the implementation of modern software patterns including microservices and event-driven architectures. /li liBridge the gap between hardware components and software development teams to ensure seamless vehicle connectivity. /li liEnsure code quality and technical standards are maintained throughout the development lifecycle. /li /ul ul liYou have 8+ years of experience as a bTechnical Lead /b, bSolution Architect /b, or bSenior Software Developer /b within complex integration projects. /li liYou bring 8+ years of expertise in backend development and messaging using bC++ /b, bPython /b, and bMQTT /b. /li liYou possess extensive knowledge of bLinux /b and bcontainerization /b technologies. /li liYou have a deep understanding of modern software and integration patterns such as bAPIs /b, bmicroservices /b, and bevent-driven architecture /b. /li liYou're experienced in the technical steering and critical evaluation of external software suppliers. /li liYou possess proven experience with system integration in complex multi-vendor environments. /li liYou have experience documenting and assessing detailed technical analyses. /li liYou are fluent in bDutch /b (level C2) with knowledge of bEnglish /b. /li /ul h3Nice to Haves /h3 ul liIn-depth knowledge of bhardware /b components and integration. /li liPractical experience with bCI/CD /b pipelines, bautomated testing /b, and bcode quality metrics /b. /li /ul ul libStart date: /b 14/10/2026 /li libDuration: /b Until 31/12/2027 /li libWork regime: /b 75% /li libLocation: /b Mechelen /li libContract: /b open to both permanent employees and freelancers /li /ul
