F5 Networking and Security Engineer

ppA major European energy infrastructure operator is looking for an experienced bF5 Networking and Security Engineer /b to support its Datacom and IP Networks environment. F5 BIG-IP is a central component of the organisation’s data centre infrastructure and supports application load balancing, high availability, security and application delivery services. The consultant will contribute to the design, implementation, operation, optimisation and lifecycle management of complex F5 BIG-IP environments supporting business-critical infrastructure. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign load balancing and high-availability architectures. /li liDesign and implement bF5 BIG-IP /b solutions for application delivery and network traffic management. /li liConfigure and administer virtual servers, pools, nodes and health monitors. /li liDevelop and maintain biRules /b, SSL profiles and traffic policies. /li liManage SSL/TLS certificates, SSL offloading and encryption configurations. /li liPerform traffic inspection and reporting. /li liDeploy and manage Web Application Firewall policies using bF5 AWAF /b, depending on project requirements. /li liIntegrate authentication and access management services using bF5 APM /b and enterprise identity services. /li liPerform performance tuning, capacity planning and service optimisation. /li liSupport incident, problem and change management activities. /li liPerform security patching and software upgrades. /li liManage the lifecycle of the F5 infrastructure. /li liPerform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of application delivery, connectivity and performance issues. /li liProduce technical documentation and operational procedures. /li liTransfer technical knowledge to relevant stakeholders. /li /ul h3Must have /h3 ul liAdvanced knowledge of bF5 BIG-IP solutions /b. /li liExtensive experience designing and implementing F5 solutions in complex environments. /li liIn-depth conceptual, practical and operational knowledge of bIP Networks /b. /li liExperience managing networks in multi-site and data centre environments. /li liStrong understanding of application delivery, load balancing and high-availability concepts. /li liAbility to work independently and methodically. /li liStrong sense of responsibility and ability to assess operational risks. /li liCustomer-oriented mindset and ability to work effectively under pressure. /li liFlexibility to respond to urgent operational incidents. /li liStrong communication skills with colleagues, departments, suppliers and service providers. /li liAbility to speak, read and write bDutch, French and English /b. /li liFor non-EU candidates working in Belgium: valid Belgian work authorisation and residence permit. /li /ul h3Should have /h3 ul liBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, ICT, Telecommunications or equivalent technical experience. /li liBroad knowledge of IT security concepts, architectures and implementations. /li liExperience working with enterprise firewall technologies such as bCheck Point /b and bPalo Alto /b. /li liStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities. /li liWillingness to continuously develop and broaden technical expertise. /li /ul h3Nice to have /h3 ul liExperience with bF5 AWAF /b. /li liExperience with bF5 APM /b. /li liExperience with enterprise identity service integrations. /li liKnowledge of SSL offloading and advanced TLS configurations. /li liExperience working in critical infrastructure environments. /li liKnowledge of IP/MPLS, DWDM, SDH or telecommunications transport networks. /li /ul h3Who we are /h3 pCommunity Consulting goes beyond traditional consulting; it’s all about fostering connections in an atmosphere of trust and confidence.br/bTransparency Honesty /b : We say things as they are.
