We are looking for a Consulting Engineer 4 - Cisco Collaboration to support customer projects and accounts through technology design, implementation, execution, optimization, and operational support of Cisco Collaboration solutions.

The role involves working with customers, Cisco account teams, partners, and internal stakeholders to plan, design, configure, diagnose, and optimize Cisco products, services, and solutions to accelerate customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive technology design, implementation, execution, and optimization activities for customer projects and accounts.
  • Work with customers to plan, design, configure, and diagnose Cisco products, services, and solutions.
  • Assist customers with the integration and implementation of tools, systems, and service assurance activities.
  • Support pre-sales activities and translate business requirements into solution designs.
  • Build customer simulations in test labs to resolve and validate complex problems and compatibility issues.
  • Create and deliver customer collateral, documentation, portals, and knowledge transfer materials.
  • Align technical deliverables with customer business outcomes.
  • Support customer technology transitions and influence solution architectures and services.
  • Comply with company policies, processes, and Professional Services strategies while effectively utilizing relevant tools.

Role Specific Responsibilities:

  • Work extensively with customers and appropriate internal and external resources, including Cisco account teams and partners, on the strategy, deployment, and optimization of Cisco services and solutions.
  • Take a leadership role in the execution of delivery projects.
  • Improve solutions and methods developed in the field and contribute to knowledge sharing across the wider practice.
  • Build and/or leverage test environments to resolve highly complex problems and compatibility issues.
  • Leverage software skills and tools to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco products and solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of digital intellectual capital, including scripts and digital signatures.
  • Act as a focal point for problem resolution for assigned customer engagements.
  • Ensure proper and timely resolution of complex customer problems across an appropriate range of technologies.

Scope:

  • Collaborate with other Consulting Engineers across appropriate technology domains to ensure optimal use of resources to meet customer needs.
  • Regularly interact with individual contributors, managers, and customers.
  • Provide input to Sales teams in creating and demonstrating technology solutions to customers.
  • Engage with Sales teams on pre-sales activities.

Complexity & Expertise:

  • Solve highly complex problems by identifying viable and innovative options and applying analytical skills and judgement to recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, plus 5-8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced degree is strongly preferred.

Project Specific Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day monitoring and support of a Cisco Collaboration infrastructure environment.
  • Manage trouble tickets, including handling, triaging, and resolving High / Medium / Low priority incidents in line with defined internal SLAs.
  • Perform request fulfilment tasks, including provisioning and configuration of collaboration endpoints such as IP phones and soft phones.
  • Escalate complex issues to Level 3 support where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ticket records.
  • Participate in an on-call roster as required.

Certifications:

  • Cisco CCNA (current Unified certification) as a baseline, combined with hands-on Cisco Collaboration experience, or
  • Cisco Certified Specialist - Collaboration Core certification for candidates with a more focused Collaboration background.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to work methodically in a structured, process-driven environment.
  • Comfortable working within defined SLA frameworks and ticketing systems.

Candidates must:

  • Hold, or be eligible to obtain, a NATO CTS (Cosmic Top Secret) security clearance.
