What You'll Do
- Analyse complex datasets and identify meaningful business insights.
- Develop and maintain reliable datasets for reporting and analytical use cases.
- Build and improve reporting and visualisation solutions using Power BI and Databricks.
- Write, optimise and troubleshoot SQL and SAS queries against relational databases.
- Use Python to support data analysis, automation and process improvement.
- Automate recurring reporting and data processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into practical data and reporting solutions.
- Challenge existing reporting processes and identify opportunities for simplification and optimisation.
- Support self-service reporting and help stakeholders become more autonomous with data.
- Document requirements, datasets and reporting solutions clearly.
- Contribute to the rationalisation and continuous improvement of the existing reporting landscape.
What you bring
- 5+ years of professional experience in data analysis, BI or reporting.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Solid experience with Power BI and Databricks.
- Practical experience with Python for data analysis or automation.
- Experience developing datasets and reporting solutions from complex/raw data.
- Experience improving, automating or optimising reporting processes.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with a strong focus on data quality.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical/data solutions.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with business stakeholders.
- A structured, proactive and collaborative approach.
- Experience with SAS is required for this assignment; knowledge of Azure/Microsoft Fabric is an advantage.
