Our client, a leading organization operating in a large-scale and critical infrastructure environment, is looking for an experienced F5 Network & Security Engineer .

The consultant will join the IP Networks team and contribute to the design, implementation, security and operational management of the F5 BIG-IP infrastructure. This platform is a central component of the client’s data centre environment, supporting application delivery, load balancing, high availability and security services.

  • Design load-balancing and high-availability architectures.
  • Design and implement F5 BIG-IP solutions for application delivery and network traffic management.
  • Configure and administer virtual servers, pools, nodes, monitors, traffic policies and SSL profiles.
  • Develop, maintain and troubleshoot F5 iRules.
  • Manage SSL/TLS certificates, SSL offloading, encryption and traffic inspection.
  • Deploy and manage Web Application Firewall policies using F5 Advanced WAF.
  • Integrate authentication and access-management services using F5 APM and enterprise identity solutions.
  • Perform performance tuning, capacity planning and service optimization.
  • Support incident, problem and change-management activities.
  • Perform security patching, software upgrades and lifecycle management.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for connectivity, application-delivery and performance issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to internal teams and stakeholders.

You have the following skills

  • Advanced and hands-on expertise with F5 BIG-IP solutions.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing F5 solutions in complex, multi-site and data-centre environments.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • F5 LTM
    • F5 Advanced WAF
    • F5 APM
    • iRules
    • SSL/TLS
    • Load balancing
    • High availability
    • Traffic management
  • In-depth knowledge of IP networks and network-management principles.
  • Good understanding of IT security architectures and technologies.
  • Experience with firewall environments such as Check Point and Palo Alto is an asset.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and risk-assessment skills.
  • Ability to work independently and methodically in a critical operational environment.
  • Customer-oriented, flexible and able to manage urgent operational priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in ICT, electronics, telecommunications or equivalent technical experience.
  • Professional proficiency in Dutch, French and English .

Location: Brussels
Work regime: 40 hours per week
Remote work: Up to three days per week, depending on operational requirements

  • You have at least 6 years of professional experiences in IT
  • If you are at least fluent in FR/ENG/NL it’s best
