We're looking for a hands-on team manager to oversee daily life insurance case management and support individual employees. You'll work closely with an existing manager, focusing on service quality and consistent follow-up.
What you'll do
- Hold one-to-one meetings to review progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Clarify individual expectations and objectives.
- Support employees with daily work, development and individual difficulties.
- Track priorities, workloads, deadlines, backlogs and obstacles.
- Run team meetings to share information and good practices.
- Provide regular and structured reporting on actions, risks and escalation needs.
What you bring
- Proven experience directly managing an operational team.
- People management skills, including coaching, motivation and objective tracking.
- Ability to settle quickly into a new environment and take ownership.
- A hands-on approach, with regular contact with employees.
- Listening skills, empathy and assertiveness when handling individual situations.
- An organised approach to following up actions and finding practical solutions.
- Ability to work alongside another manager and seek technical expertise when needed.
- French (C2).
- Dutch (B2).
Nice to have
- Experience in insurance, financial services or an operational environment.
- Knowledge of life insurance.
