Your new role

As a Senior Support/ System Engineer, you will take on a broad and hands-on position combining System Engineering, Microsoft 365 administration and 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support. This is not a purely infrastructure-focused role. You enjoy being close to users and are willing to remain actively involved in support activities, including first-line support.

Your responsibilities include

Providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support to users across Europe

Troubleshooting Hardware, software, Microsoft 365 and infrastructure-related incidents

Managing and administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Windows and EndPoint devices

Coordinating onboarding, offboarding and user access requests

Handling incidents, service requests, problems and changes within an ITIL-based environment

Working with Jira and Confluence for ticket management, documentation and knowledge sharing

Supporting the rollout and further adoption of Jira and Confluence within the organization

Collaborating with external IT vendors and service providers

Contributing to IT projects, operational improvements and technical documentation

Providing backup and support to colleagues within the team

The role is based in Waterloo and includes occasional travel to European offices, approximately once per month.

Your profile

To succeed in this role, you combine strong technical expertise with a service-oriented mindset. You have

Language skills are essential: Dutch and English are fluent, and ideally a good level of French

A bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience

At least 5 years of experience as a System Engineer, IT Support Engineer or similar position

Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID and Windows environments

Experience across 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support environments

Previous experience working with Jira as a ticketing or IT service management platform

Experience using Confluence for documentation and knowledge management

Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management principles

You are independent, approachable, flexible and comfortable working in a flat organization where collaboration and mutual support are key.
