What you will do
- Design end-to-end solutions based on business requirements, architectural principles and technical constraints.
- Translate complex business needs into pragmatic, maintainable IT solutions.
- Analyse different solution options and make clear architectural recommendations.
- Define application and integration architectures across legacy and modern platforms.
- Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and asynchronous/event-driven integration principles where appropriate.
- Bridge business stakeholders, development teams, technical architects and infrastructure teams.
- Establish short-, medium- and long-term architectural roadmaps.
- Challenge proposed solutions and ensure alignment with architectural standards.
- Consider implementation cost, operational impact, maintainability and long-term scalability.
- Produce and maintain architectural documentation and models.
- Present and defend solution designs to architecture governance bodies.
- Support delivery teams from initial architecture through implementation and production.
What you bring
- 4+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Application Architecture or a comparable IT architecture role.
- Strong experience translating business requirements into end-to-end IT solutions.
- Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Practical understanding of asynchronous/event-driven integration and modern integration patterns.
- Experience working across complex application landscapes and multiple stakeholder groups.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear architectural decisions.
- Experience with architecture governance, documentation and architectural decision-making.
- Exposure to .NET and/or modern web technologies such as Angular is an advantage.
- Experience with legacy modernisation, including COBOL environments, is an advantage.
- Knowledge of ArchiMate is an advantage.
- A pragmatic, collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
