Own the month-end and year-end close process.
Manage, coach, and develop the accounting team (2 direct reports).
Ensure accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger.
Lead external audits and coordinate with auditors.
Oversee Belgian and European VAT compliance.
Advise on accounting policies and complex transactions.
Review reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and key journal entries.
Improve processes, controls, and accounting procedures.
Drive finance systems, automation, and AI initiatives.
The ideal candidate matches the following criteria:Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting Fluent in French or Dutch and EnglishStrong experience in VAT compliance and tax declarations.
Experience with multi-country VAT registrations and compliance is a strong asset.
