Private Equity Associate / Senior Associate | Belgium (Mid-Market Fund)
Our client, a well-established mid-market private equity investor based in Belgium, is looking for a high-calibre Associate or Senior Associate to join its investment team. The fund partners with founders and management teams of European businesses, and the role offers exposure to the full investment lifecycle, working closely with senior investment professionals on transactions and portfolio companies.
The Role
- Support buyout transactions across the full investment lifecycle, from screening through to execution and exit
- Build and analyse financial models, valuations and investment cases
- Conduct company and market analysis to assess key business and investment drivers
- Coordinate commercial, financial and legal due diligence workstreams and external advisors
- Prepare investment memos, investment committee materials and management presentations
- Participate in management meetings and transaction negotiations alongside senior team members
- Work closely with portfolio companies on add-on acquisitions and value-creation initiatives
Your Profile
- 3–5 years of experience in private equity, M&A advisory or transaction services, ideally in the mid-market
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills
- Solid transaction execution experience, with exposure to buyout or add-on transactions an advantage
- Strong commercial awareness and a hands-on approach to working with management teams
- Entrepreneurial approach, strong sense of ownership and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a demanding team environment
- Native-level Dutch and fluency in English are mandatory
