It sets out the long term strategy for Ageas and coordinates numerous initiatives across the Group to help realise the strategic ambitions. The Corporate Centre also facilitates knowledge and skills sharing amongst its local operating entities and JV’s, creating strong connections and leveraging on local strengths. It represents the Ageas Group towards external parties, managing relations with analysts, retail and institutional investors, regulators, rating agencies and the media. /ph3Your function /h3h3Your main responsibilities are: /h3ulliEnsure the operational processes (expense notes, accounts payable process, cost reporting, treasury back-office, …) are optimized /liliLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes /liliEnsure timely and qualitative financial reporting for the various companies, both for local accounting (BGAAP) and for group purposes (IFRS) /liliOversee reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and journal entries /liliEnsure timely and qualitative management reporting on the actuals, forecasts and budgets (you will manage the forecast and budget process of the holding companies) /li /ulh3Regulatory Compliance /h3ulliEnsure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. /liliPrepare statutory accounts and coordinate with external auditors. /liliSupport regulatory reporting teams (e.g., NBB, ECB, FSMA in Belgium) /liliEnsure adequacy of internal controls /liliProvide support in BGAAP and IFRS accounting policies /liliProvide support in various projects /li /ulh3Internal Controls Audit /h3ulliStrengthen the internal control framework /liliCoordinate internal and external audits /liliIdentify process weaknesses and implement corrective actions /liliManage a team of 5 people and develop accounting teams (general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, etc.). /liliFoster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. /liliEnsure proper workload distribution and team performance. /li /ulh3Process Improvement Automation /h3ulliDrive digitalization and automation of accounting processes. /liliImprove efficiency through system enhancements (ERP, consolidation tools) /liliStandardize procedures and documentation /li /ulh3Business partnering: /h3ulliCollaborate closely with Consolidation, Treasury and Investment teams, Tax and HR /liliProvide response to ad-hoc questions from senior management, external audit or regulators /liliSupport management with financial insights and technical accounting advice. /li /ulh3Your profile /h3ulliYou have a bachelor or master’s degree in Finance or Business administration; /liliYou have at least 7 years relevant working experience (experience in one of the big four audit firms is a plus); /liliYou have experience in managing a small team. /liliYou have a good knowledge of Accounting both under Belgian GAAP and IFRS, supplemented with specialized knowledge in the following areas: insurance accounting (under IFRS17), hedge accounting and impairment analysis (IFRS9) /liliExperience with ERP systems (Oracle Netsuite, SAP, Onestream) is a plus.
