- Platform IoT Integration /b, who will take ownership of core backend and integration systems across our platform. You combine deep technical skill with a generalist mindset: comfortable moving between application code, cloud infrastructure and device-level integration, and trusted by the team as the person to call when something breaks or a solid architectural decision is needed. /ph3Key
Responsibilities:
/h3ulliOwn and evolve core backend and billing services end-to-end. /liliDesign, build and maintain backend services and their AWS deployment pipelines. /liliManage and evolve our timeseries data stack (e.g. QuestDB) that underpins device and energy analytics. /lilidiagnose and resolve production issues across cloud and device code. /liliSupport teammates who are blocked on code or infrastructure, and share architectural knowledge across the team. /liliApply solid software design practices (e.g. domain-driven design, microservice patterns) and contribute to version releases across INT/ACC/PROD environments. /li /ulh3What we expect: /h3pbSoft Skills /b /pulliStrong communicator who can explain technical trade-offs clearly to engineers and non-technical stakeholders alike. /liliA generalist mindset, comfortable moving between application code, infrastructure and device-level integration rather than staying in one narrow lane. /liliHigh degree of ownership and reliability; you follow through without needing to be chased. /liliComfortable working independently in a fast-moving scale-up environment, and proactive about proposing improvements. /liliOpen to doing thorough code reviews and sharing knowledge, not just shipping your own work. /liliAble to link the dots across systems and communicate clearly when diagnosing what broke and why. /liliWilling to support teammates who are blocked, even outside your own area of ownership. /li /ulpbTechnical Skills /b /pulliProven experience building backend services (Node.js/TypeScript or comparable) in production. /liliHands-on experience with AWS (e.g. Lambda, CDK) for deploying and operating cloud-native services. /liliExperience with timeseries or high-volume data pipelines (e.g. QuestDB, Timestream, InfluxDB or similar). /liliWorking knowledge of device/IoT integration and data scraping, or a strong willingness to learn it. /liliSolid understanding of microservice, API-driven and domain-driven design (DDD). /liliComfortable using observability tooling (e.g. CloudWatch, Sentry) to diagnose issues in production. /liliComfortable using AI tools to support and accelerate technical work. /liliSolid grasp of security requirements for cloud and connected devices, and how to actually implement them (secure-by-design APIs, secrets and key management, least-privilege IAM) /liliAwareness of the compliance landscape our platform operates in (GDPR, NIS2, CRA) and able to translate current and upcoming obligations into concrete architectural and release decisions. /li /ulpbNice to have /b /pulliExperience in the energy sector (IoT platforms, smart metering, renewables, billing/tariff engines). /liliFamiliarity with monitoring and error-tracking tools (e.g. Sentry) beyond native cloud logging. /liliFamiliarity with real-time/distributed database migrations. /liliA track record of introducing unit-test coverage into existing codebases. /liliExposure to serverless architecture patterns and infrastructure as code (e.g. AWS CDK). /liliExperience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, MQTT, etc.). /liliExperience applying domain-driven design (DDD) principles in production services. /liliComfortable contributing to release and deployment coordination across multiple environments (INT/ACC/PROD). /liliExperience coordinating hardware/software integration projects (embedded + cloud systems). /li /ulh3bWhat
