We’re looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support a growing business on a freelance/contract basis.
The ideal person will be confident working independently and comfortable taking ownership of core accounting activities, reporting and financial processes.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Managing month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Preparing management accounts and financial reports
- Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger management
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
- VAT and other statutory reporting
- Working with external accountants/auditors where required
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
- Providing general commercial and financial support to the business
About you:
- Strong experience in a senior accounting role
- Comfortable working autonomously on a freelance/contract basis
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Commercially minded with excellent communication skills
- Experience with accounting systems and Excel/Google Sheets
