You will lead client engagements, co-design data engineering solutions through close collaboration with clients, manage stakeholders, and ensure impactful project delivery from strategy through execution. /p h3Responsibilities: /h3 pbData Architecture Pipeline Design: /b Building robust, scalable data pipelines and architectures to enable efficient ingestion, processing, and delivery of large volumes of structured and unstructured data. /p pbCloud Distributed Systems: /b Designing and implementing data solutions leveraging modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Kafka). /p pbDatabase Design Data Modeling: /b Developing logical and physical data models and optimizing database solutions for various data types and workloads, including relational, NoSQL, time-series, and graph databases. /p pbData Integration Loading Patterns: /b Implementing best practices for batch, streaming, and real-time data integration, adapting to structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources. /p pbCI/CD DataOps Practices: /b Enabling continuous integration and deployment of data services and infrastructure, using modern DevOps tooling to ensure reliability, versioning, and automation in data workflows. /p h3Within Sia itself you will: /h3 pDevelop and enhance our Data Engineering offerings through internal training sessions, working groups, and internal/external publications. /p pRepresent Sia at professional events, contributing actively to thought leadership initiatives (articles, white papers, webinars). /p pDrive business development by crafting compelling proposals, identifying new collaboration opportunities, and fostering long-term client relationships. /p pManage client engagements, serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to middle and senior-level management. /p pSupervise and mentor junior to medior consultants, guiding their professional growth, reviewing deliverables, and facilitating the development of technical and interpersonal skills. /p h3Your profile /h3 pAnalytical thinker with a structured and proactive approach. /p pExperienced communicator capable of clearly articulating complex technical ideas to varied audiences. /p pEffective stakeholder manager, comfortable guiding teams through project delivery. /p pDemonstrated ability to mentor colleagues and facilitate professional development. /p h3Qualifications /h3 pCompleted WO Master's degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, (Energy) Engineering, or a related technical field involving substantial programming. /p pThe specific stack that you will work with will depend on the client but, as an indication, we commonly work with Databricks, Snowflake and Azure. /p p3-6 years of relevant professional experience (or equivalent academic research). /p pStrong analytical mindset with systematic problem-solving abilities. /p pA fast learner who demonstrates strong communication skills, adaptability, and entrepreneurial drive. /p pFluency in English, with excellent communication and presentation abilities. Dutch or French fluency is a must. /p pProven interest in Data Engineering, and relevant sectors such as Energy and Finance. /p h3What do
