h3Senior Functional Analyst /h3 h3Location: Brussels /h3 h3Role Overview /h3 pThe organisation is undertaking a multi-year transformation programme involving the migration of an existing central membership and financial management system, alongside the development of new, customised functionalities. /p pThe systems support the management of member data, contributions, premiums and benefits, as well as federal and regional processes. They integrate with accounting, SEPA payments and analytical reporting. /p pThe Senior Functional Analyst will translate business requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications and perform business analysis where required. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Functional Analysis Design /h3 ul liDefine business rules, data mappings and interface/API specifications. /li liTranslate complex business processes, including contributions, settlements, premiums, corrections and direct debits, into clear functional specifications. /li liWrite user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria in line with internal standards. /li liDevelop process diagrams and use cases in collaboration with subject matter experts. /li liLead the analysis phase for new developments, bug fixes and system enhancements. /li /ul h3Stakeholder Management /h3 ul liCollaborate with business departments, including Premiums Benefits, Accounting and Member Management. /li liAct as the main point of contact for development teams and external suppliers. /li liAlign functional requirements and priorities with Product Owners, testers and project management. /li /ul h3Quality Assurance Testing /h3 ul liPrepare and execute functional tests in collaboration with testers and key users. /li liValidate data migrations and financial calculations, including member balances, against reference files. /li liIdentify discrepancies between legacy system data and the new environment. /li /ul h3Documentation Knowledge Sharing /h3 ul liCreate and maintain functional documentation within the central Knowledge Management Platform. /li liSupport training initiatives for key users across federal and regional departments. /li liFacilitate knowledge sharing through structured release notes, demonstrations and feedback sessions. /li /ul h3Business Analysis /h3 ul liMap current-state (as-is) and future-state (to-be) processes, identifying bottlenecks and dependencies. /li liClarify business needs before solutions are defined. /li liIdentify opportunities to improve workflows and data flows, including Excel extracts and Power BI reports. /li liRecommend process standardisation and harmonisation across departments. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 h3Experience Technical Knowledge /h3 ul liMinimum 7 years of experience as a Functional Analyst in complex or regulated environments, such as finance, social security or the public sector. /li liStrong understanding of data modelling, process analysis and financial workflows, including contributions, settlements and SEPA payments. /li liExperience with ERP-like platforms, data migrations and functional integrations. /li liKnowledge of databases, queries, data structures and data flows. /li liExperience with Azure DevOps or comparable ticketing and test management tools. /li liExperience using AI tools for analysis, specifications, data mapping or documentation, with the ability to critically evaluate their output. /li /ul h3Languages /h3 ul liDutch and French: professional proficiency. /li liEnglish: proficiency required. /li /ul h3Education Certifications /h3 ul liBachelor's or Master's degree in (Applied) Economics, IT or equivalent experience. /li liCertifications in requirements engineering or business analysis, such as IREB CPRE, CBAP or Agile BA, are an advantage. /li /ul h3What the Role Offers /h3 ul liA key position in a strategic, multi-year transformation programme. /li liThe opportunity to contribute to the development of a modern, modular platform. /li liA meaningful impact on service quality, data accuracy and operational efficiency. /li liA hybrid working environment, with regular on-site collaboration in Brussels. /li /ul
