Do you thrive on leading from the front, shaping behaviours, and embedding best-in-class safety standards across operations?We’re looking for a Dutch and English-speaking Health & Safety Lead to take ownership of safety performance at our Bornem Manufacturing Plant. In this high-impact role, you’ll partner closely with plant leadership, champion our Zero Harm philosophy, and ensure full compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
This is an opportunity to step into a visible leadership role where your expertise will directly influence culture, performance, and continuous improvement across a dynamic production environment.🎯 What We’re Looking ForExperience & CapabilityProven experience in a Health & Safety leadership role within manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of local HSE legislation and regulatory frameworks.
IOSH/NEBOSH qualification or Belgian Preventieadviseur Level 1, 2, or 3 certification (or equivalent) Experience managing HSE systems, audits, and compliance processes.
Demonstrated ability to use data and insights to drive safety improvements and corrective actions.
Experience leading incident investigations and implementing preventative measures.
Leadership BehavioursFluent in Dutch and English, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels.
Strong communicator with the confidence to influence stakeholders.
Passionate about building a proactive, behaviour-led safety culture.
Resilient and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Hands-on leader who can coach, challenge, and engage teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities
May IncludeLead and maintain HSE management systems, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
Act as a trusted advisor to plant leadership on all Health & Safety matters, including regulatory updates and risk mitigation.
Drive alignment with Absolute Safety First Rules and embed Zero Harm principles across all site activities.
Oversee emergency preparedness and day-to-day HSE operations, ensuring readiness and operational compliance.
Promote a proactive safety culture through initiatives such as Learning Teams and Safety Differently practices.
Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and share learnings to drive continuous improvement across the network.
Monitor workforce training, competency development, and skills matrices to ensure capability and compliance.
Champion wellbeing initiatives, including safety campaigns and occupational health programmes.
